What’s the time!!!

By Hurma Khan

“Time is money”, very funny! No one can deny the importance of time in our daily lives. When it comes to educational institutions, it becomes mandatory for students to be punctual about their class timings, exam schedule etc.

As students step in the department of mass communication right in front of the entrance glass door, one can see the only wall clock welcoming them and that also with inaccurate time. Not only this, the clock is so small in size considering the size of the hall of department that it is very hard to view it from a little faraway. There is a need to place a new big size clock so that it can become for people to view the timings.

Several class rooms in the University of Karachi are deprived of clocks and the teachers have to ask students, “What is the time or how much time is left”. The negligence of pupils needs by the administration is alright but at least they should take steps to facilitate the teachers with respect.

The inappropriate clock timing dilemma has left me fuming several times as I have missed my points due to error-stricken clock of our department. I wish sooner or later the wall clocks in the university will either be placed or replaced for the easiness of students keeping in mind the problems they have to face because of this issue.
