WAR AND WEAPONS OF PERSONALITY DESTRUCTION

While realizing all the anti-personality development stuff, student entering the university with the hopes of rising sun, might leave the university under shadows of romantic new moon. I have observed the total personality changes in some of my fellows inside the circle of University of Karachi under the name of modernism, friendships and the most influential "university life fun". Along with comes the degraded dialect. Including the effects of Bollywood, we cannot forget the typical language that is found in KU or may be in other government universities too. What is the reason behind sarcastic vision of expensive universities for the government ones - the vision that pierce all the developed personalities too? Why is the prejudice developed about KU students that they cannot dress up, walk or talk good? Even when we have got too many examples when KU students have dominated others, some examples are from our own department; Sabeena Rizwan Khan, Ahsan Raza Firdousi, Hina Mujeeb Aalam, Manam Iqbal. And my own mates Narjis Fatimah and Ferya Elyas who were selected among 200 students from all over Pakistan for scholarship studies in USA.

Anyway, the tools of personality development may be styles of speaking, dressing up, gestures and postures, language command etc. These tools can make you dominant even when you have not scored up to the mark but at the same time they can become the weapons of personality destruction too - thus, creating a cold war among students affording different finance for education. I have observed my university fellows saying that professor was giving "bhaashan (term for lecture in Hindi) or a girl commenting a boy as "pappu bacha" or even a student girl wearing so much and heavy make up and accessories in university - just out of limits!!! As this all is a matter of their own and I don't want to restrict anyone and of course I cannot, but what is the cause of blurred scarcity among students that is left even after the university? Teaching differences are not that much, then why there is a clear depiction about from where the student has been taught? Should there be a proper series of personality development teachings before university and during too?

If yes, then lets start it from our own self today :)

  3. personality development? oh a huge need of time! throughout the world its a common phenomena where individuals are taught that scoring marks and raking GPs is good but what happens when even the most brainy people turns out to be shy or not good in communication? ooops! blunder! the most profound knowledge you have its not worth if u cant share.....here comes your personality where you speak first, impress and give gestures first and then impart what your idea is...and believe me sometimes its really the aura of people that actually works, how do u think people wins elections?
personality development gives u an edge over others, and yeah we need trainers and guiders who can actually make you aware that how special you are!
    good job keep it up!

  4. Comment to a main introductory piece:

We have so many alumnus of KU working on reputable positions in different professions including politics. If you 've courage, will and firm determination you can dominate anywhere, everywhere. It may be true that KU pupils are prejudiced, but don't let it become ur trademark. 'Striving hard' is the utmost requirement for any individual to gain distinctive position or to groom ones personality, whether it be a KU student or from any private varsity.

  7. Dass right i totally agree wid the matter or wateva the points u have explicate in ur reality bites....u know wat? i wont blame nyone neither our teachers nor us da students. Basic idea is dat our parents alwayz think bout da government universities dun've dat much "rigorous discipline" whether dere children r attending da classes or not. May b dass the reason they r putting their kids into the pvt universities or schools cuz they conceive dat if we they r spending 2 rupees on their children so they might get achieve something to learn at... its pity about them but dass da reality.. Though as well i got many examples from ma university MEHRAN UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY many guys from ma institute are elected for USA , Malaysia, Spain and many more countrie's best schools on scholarships.....Dass da charm of being a student of a government institute patner...so da conclusion at this long last reincarnated unbeatable reinstated to leave you decapitated Je suis fous, but maham ur words make sense..i admitt ("je suis fous" means "i m mad" in French) :-D

so dass wat i wass tryina say.... Peace fellows

  8. Though it must be a proud feeling to have such seniours but 3,4 lines on giving examples is wastage of actual point lines u can write instead of that..also if u want to give examples u should refer student from whole university rather than only your own department as article when published some where is for general readers..any way the topic u have selected is best among others..hm personality is entirely based on type of people of interacts with..university cant be blamed for that as ku has students belonging to all standards of lifestyles..one absorbs what he/she interacts with..personality development can be taught to the students but how can we bring changes to the personalities of elders from whom these things are inhereted..every body must have heard a child abusing as his father too.

  9. i agree with asad..maham should have given examples from other departments too.as we have many students from ku who were members of youth parliament.and many other examples too.but i disagree with the point that how can we teach elders.the young of today will become tomorrow's elder.we need to teach them.and i totally agree with sabeena.we need to bring out the natural and special abilities of our own.
anyway, i admire your piece maham.you have brought a different idea, though it is faced by all government institute students.and even i, with my friends, tease government students.i will bring your article in mind before doing so next time :D
